Audiomodern’s Soundbox v1.3 landed a few days ago and it finally has full MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) support!
But what does this mean for your music making?
With an MPE-compatible controller, Soundbox can respond to the nuances of each individual note, including per-note pitch bend, pressure, and timbre. This gives you a more direct and expressive connection between your performance and the instrument.
In this video, we demonstrate what that means, how to set it up in Soundbox and play some musical examples using our own Soundbox libraries (Aethervox and Movimento Strings) with the Roli Seaboard Block and Expressive E Osmose.
