Haze begins with the soulful recordings of a beautifully felted upright piano, captured in a stunning studio space. From there, it ventures into uncharted sonic territory, exploring what happens when you manipulate the attack of each sample in unique and expressive ways.

The result? A piano that breathes, shimmers, and drifts through ethereal and cinematic soundscapes adding depth and emotion to your music via Audiomodern's Soundbox.

To create Haze, the piano samples were processed through a curated chain of vintage rack gear from the ’80s and ’90s including reverse-gated reverbs, early digital choruses, and textured delays, alongside an extensive collection of boutique guitar pedals. The result is a mesmerising palette of textures that blurs the line between acoustic purity and electronic dreamscape.

What Is Audiomodern Soundbox?

Soundbox supports MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) and is also multi-touch enabled, making it one of the very few audio samplers offering both MPE and full multi-touch support on iPad.

By using any of our packs with Soundbox, all features are unlocked with the exception of the Sample and Mapping editor (which allows importing and editing of your own sounds). If you’d like to unlock this editor, you’ll need to purchase at least one original Soundbox expansion from Audiomodern’s website. Once activated, the editor is permanently unlocked and includes free lifetime updates.
